The large sizes of Swarovski crystals
The large sizes of Swarovski crystals are not cheap, and are usually placed right in the middle to get all the attention they can get!
But here is a new way to look at them - they can be a colorful flat surface that is just perfect to glue other smaller elements on them, and really take the final look one step up!
Once you start looking at things to glue on these large crystals, you will see how many options you have, from metal casting elements with small crystals embedded in them, ceramic flowers and just about anything you like, but remember that the point is to create a look that flatters the shine and color of the crystal and gives it a new interesting look without totally covering it.
Four simple steps to make:
1. Prepare the final jewelry piece you want to make with the large crystal inside the stone setting
2. Apply the CG-500 Swarovski glue on the back of the element you want to glue
3. Carefully place the element with the glue on the crystal exactly where you want it to be
4. Leave it to dry for 24 hours, and you’re done!
Here are some ideas that you can use:
Large pendants combing large sizes of SW crystals, hanging on long metal chains, with just one or two small metal embedding elements glued on them.
Large ring bases with one SW crystal and an extra sparkly element in the middle, makes them look a lot more interesting this way!
These centerpiece bases are very simply made with just one shape of setting, but when you glue small element on the large crystals, connect flower metal settings on each side, and hang all this on a velvet cord it becomes a really magnificent looking necklace.
Have a lot of fun using this new way of working, and we hope you will make beautiful jewelry with it!
