Fabric cord & Swarovski crystals Bracelet tutorial

Fabric cord & Swarovski crystals Bracelet tutorial

28/04/2016
Fabric cord & Swarovski crystals Bracelet tutorial

This is a fairly easy to make bracelet, that is made with a wide flexible fabric cord that you sow the 24ss cup chain on top to create a fashionable looking bracelet that will be perfect for summer!

The components you need to make this bracelet:

· 24ss empty cup chain for bracelet with soldered loops
· 24ss Swarovski crystals X20
· 16cm of flexible fabric cord
· 80cm of waxed polyester cord
· 20mm crimp ends for flat cord
· A clasp and extension chain
Tools:
· Prong pusher
· Two plier tools
· Large eye needle
· Lighter

Step 1 - Embedding the SW crystals
Take the empty cup chain and use the prong pusher tool to bend all four metal prongs on the crystals, so they will not move at all.

Step 2 - Preparing the base of the bracelet
Cut the flexible fabric cord to one piece of 16cm long.
Make sure all of the strings of the cord are held inside the crimp end, and press it with the plier tool until it holds the fabric cord tightly. Use one crimp end one each side of the cord, and now it will be ready to use.

Step 3 - Sowing the cup chain on the bracelet base
Take the 80cm waxed polyester cord and slip it through the eye of the needle.
Pull the needle through the middle of the fabric cord on one end, to hold the loop on the edge of the cup chain. Thread the polyester cord twice and make a knot.

Now, you need to sew the cup chain all the way onto the fabric cord - make two stitches between each stone setting.

When you reach the end of the cup chain, make two or three stitches around the last loop and make a strong knot at the back of the bracelet.

Use a lighter to worm the edge of the polyester cord until the wax melts and seals the knot.

Step 4 - Closing the bracelet
Connect the clasp and extension chain on either side of the bracelet.

These bracelets can be made in different colors, and make a gorgeous summer item!
Have fun creating!
